Raising Simmental and SimAngus Cattle
Our journey with Simmental cattle began in 2017 through our involvement with Open 8 Genetics. In 2020, we had the opportunity to launch our own Simmental program while continuing our partnership with Open 8. This journey started with the purchase of several bred females from Double T Simmentals and Dakota Express, marking the beginning of 316 Simmentals. Since then, we have been fortunate to expand our operation with exceptional females from Mandan Lake Simmental, Kunkel Simmental, and Open 8 Genetics.
Our Goals
We believe that a strong herd starts with high-quality cows—adapted to their environment and built for the future. Functionality is key, with maternal traits and longevity leading a long list of essential qualities, including structural soundness, udder quality, reproductive efficiency, feed efficiency, and stayability. Cows that excel in these areas will produce bulls and replacement females capable of advancing herds for generations to come.
